SOUTHEAST UTAH
I know, that title sounds like the name of an adventure film starring Tiger Woods.
The video below won't be nearly that entertaining, but it will be scenic! I filmed parts of my drive through The Valley of the Gods, which is located in southeast Utah and is a great back-up plan when Monument Valley is closed due to COVID. The Valley is full of sandstone buttes and mesas and tall rock formations.
Here's a video of my drive through the park. It's saved in double time so you don't get (completely) bored. You can also fast forward to 6:30 where I had a little "oh no" moment. :)
And here are a couple photos from the day. Can't imagine what Monument Valley looks like if it's better than this!
The picture below made me actually laugh out loud. See how the boulders on the ground below look like they tumbled down from that notch in the part at the top?
And then there is that camper sitting right there. It looks like they either lucked out by ducking a rock slide. Or they got a really cheap rate on that camping spot.
