Cathedral Wash Trail

MARBLE CANYON, AZ


This trail was awesome!


It was an easy trail, just 3.84 miles with a 411' elevation gain, but AllTrails rates it difficult, probably because you spend most of your time trying to figure out how to get from one side of the gully to the other, or how to get up from or down to the bottom of the gully.


Here is how the hike begins. See what I mean about trying to figure out how to get down to that path below?

More problem solving ahead. There's water in the gully below, so do you go left or right? Level one or two? The answer was usually: go up a level!

How epic is this photo with the red rocks literally glowing in the sunlight underneath that BLUE sky?

At the end of the trail, the gully opens up to the Colorado River. It was beautiful.

This is one of those must-do hikes if you're in the area!
